Mar 13, 2024 (newstodate): The Danish charter and ACMI carrier Jettime is prepared for a new, busy summer season 2024.
-All 11 Boeing 737 aircraft will be in the air this summer, with one serving as back-up capacity to meet operational challenges, says Birthe Madsen, Jettime VP Management Support.
-Ahead of this summer schedule, no additional aircraft have been added to our fleet - but we are constantly on the outlook for new aircraft as four of our current aircraft will be redelivered to owners over the coming few years; at the same time we are experiencing growing demand for our services both among tour operators and in the North European ACMI market.
-Again in summer 2024, most of our aircraft are operating for TUI Nordic as well as for tour operators Bravo Tours and Apollo; we will be operating a weekly rotation to Lanzarote for Club La Santa, and Corendon is a new customer for two weekly rotations to Bodrum, Turkey. And like previous years one aircraft is dedicated to Air Greenland operating five weekly rotations to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland.
-This summer, Stockholm Arlanda Airport is a new Jettime base set up to operate charter flights for TUI from airports in northern Sweden. Consequently, Jettime AB has been established as a new subsidiary now recruiting cabin crews for these operations.
-All in all, Jettime will be operating flights to leisure destinations in Southern Europe and Turkey from more than 20 airports in Denmark, Sweden and Finland in the coming summer schedule, says Ms Madsen.
Since March 1, 2024, Jettime has a new CEO: Anders Fred, serving as CEO at Jettime's sister carrier Novair till its demise in October 2023.
Mr Fred has thus succeeded Jorgen Holme who was instrumental in successfully turning around the company from June 8, 2020, when Jettime was registered by the investment company JT3H owned by Lars Thuesen.
