Apr 19, 2024 (newstodate): New at Lithuania's Vilnius Airport in summer 2024 is the Greek carrier Aegean Airlines, the airport's 10th legacy carrier.
   Starting from today, Aegean Airlines has launched seasonal flights ending in October '24 on the route connecting Athens and Vilnius with two weekly rotations using Airbus A320neo aircraft, with ground handling services provided by Litcargus.
   However, this is indeed not the first time Lithuania has been on the agenda of Aegean Airlines; already in 2016 plans were to open flights to Vilnius  which were however not realized, and another effort was made the following year for launch of flights on the route from summer 2018 - with similar negative results.
