Apr 08, 2024 (newstodate): The new Faroese cargo carrier FarCargo is gradually spreading its wings carrying Faroese seafood to the global marketplace.
As the latest expansion of services, FarCargo has launched flights between Vagar Airport and Brussels Airport with two rotations on Thursdays starting from March 28, 2024.
FarCargo performed its first flight on its key route from Vagar to New York on March 5, 2024, now to be expanded to three weekly rotations from May 27, 2024..
With Billund Airport as its European hub, the carrier will be operating to Vagar Airport, on the Faroe Islands, continuing with Bakkafrost seafood export shipment to Newark Airport in the USA, with a fuel stop in Keflavik on Iceland.
Returning from Newark, the carrier flies directly back to Billund Airport, with currently two rotations on the route and increasing to five weekly rotations at a later stage in 2024.
FarCargo has appointed NordicGSA as its GSA to sell the home bound cargo capacity on behalf of FarCargo.
Purchased from AirSale, FarCargo's Boeing 757-200F is placed on the AOC of FarCargo's partner, West Atlantic Sweden.
