Apr 22, 2024 (newstodate): Scandinavia's three capital airports present a varied picture in air cargo development during this year's first quarter.
Measured in total volumes, Denmark's Copenhagen Airport noted an increase by 19.5 percent, y-o-y, to 77,306 tonnes of cargo handled, flown and trucked cargo included.
Norway's Oslo Airport also reported an increase by 10 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 43,359 tonnes, reporting however only flown cargo, excluding trucked volumes.
Sweden's Stockholm Airport was alone among the Scandinavian capital airports in seeing total volumes down by 4.6 percent, y-o-y, 22,372 tonnes, also counting only flown and excluding trucked volumes.
Adding the two Nordic capital airports, the picture remains varied.
Finland's Helsinki Airport thus reported an increase in total volumes by 7.2 percent, y-o-y, to 43,026 tonnes, flown and trucked volumes included.
On the other hand, Iceland's Keflavik Airport saw its total cargo volumes down by 4.8 percent, y-o-y, to 14,651 tonnes.
