Apr 18, 2024 (newstodate): The Moldovan carrier HiSky's Romanian offspring, HiSky Europe has obtained  green lights for entering the Canadian market with scheduled services.
   This follows after a similar approval by the FAA concerning the US market, allowing the carrier to work out plans for launch of N American flights from Bucharest stalled for over 20 years.
   First to come is the start of services on the route connecting Bucharest and New York slated for launch from June 7, 2024, with the carrier's single Airbus A330-200 aircraft delivered on December 18, 2023.
   After this, the opening of flights from Bucharest to Canada will be announced.
   Also contributing to the HiSky ambitions is the recent Air Services Agreement signed with the USA, aiming at liberalizing passenger and cargo air transport between the two markets.
