As its first scheduled destination in China, the carrier launched flights from Belgrade to Tianjin on December 9, 2022, with one weekly rotation operated with Airbus A330 aircraft.
Now, the airline is planning for opening a new route from Belgrade to Shanghai, tentatively slated for November or December 2024.
Earlier, Air Serbia announced plans to launch services to Shanghai and Guangzhou in 2024, having secured permits for two weekly Shanghai and three weekly Guangzhou flights.
To support its long-haul program, Air Serbia is preparing for delivery of two Airbus A330-200 aircraft in 2024, with the first slated for July and the second for September or October.
