Apr 29, 2024 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines is now putting Kabul back on its schedule in 2024.
The carrier has announced the return of services between Istanbul and Kabul from May 21, 2024, offering three weekly rotations with Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
Earlier, Turkish Airlines planned for returning to Afghanistan already from March 27, 2023, but these plans were suspended due to sustained issues in aviation talks and considerations of the safety and security at the airport.
The services have been suspended since the chaotic closure of the Afghan airports and airspace as the Taliban took over the country in August 2021.
