May 08, 2024 (newstodate): Starting from June 5, 024, American Airlines will be back at Denmark's Copenhagen Airport.
The carrier will operate flights to Copenhagen from Philadelphia using Boeing 787-9 aircraft in a program ending in October 2023.
In a release out this week, the carrier highlights the importance of cargo products like pharmaceuticals and seafood from Copenhagen to the US market.
This marks the airline's entry into the Danish market, while the carrier was online for some years with seasonal flights between Chicago and Helsinki, Finland, starting in summer 2011.
Serving the oneworld member carrier American Airlines as GSSA in the four Nordic markets since March 1, 2011, is North Air Logistics with Henrik Spove as Regional Director Scandinavia, Finland & Baltics.
