May 13, 2024 (newstodate): In the first four months of this year, Copenhagen Airport saw its cargo volumes on legacy carriers rising 19.8 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 73,326 tonnes.
The over-all increase was seen in both the belly cargo, all-cargo operations, and trucked cargo segments.
Compared to Jan-Apr '23, cargo on passenger airlines' belly holds was up by no less than 46 percent to 39,531 tonnes, reflecting the return of growth in capacity.
Volumes on all-cargo legacy carrier operations also increased by 14.5 percent to 601 tonnes, while trucked cargo volumes went up by 16 percent to 30,970 percent, y-o-y.
Percentage-wise, imports and exports each account for close to 17 percent of the total cargo, with the remaining 67.2 percent generated by the transit operations, up from 63.4 percent in Jan-Apr 2023.
