May 10, 2024 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport saw its cargo volumes rising 19.8 percent, y-o-y, in the first four months of this year.
A total of 192,745 tonnes of cargo was thus handled at the airport, including flown and trucked loads on both legacy and integrator carriers.
Counting legacy carriers alone, the growth in volumes was 29.4 percent, to 73,326 tonnes, while integrator volumes remained almost unchanged, up only one percent, y-o-y, to 29,419 tonnes.
According to the airport's statistics, import and export volumes were almost on a par, which is an efficient parameter for profitability of long-haul routes especially.
Percentage-wise, both imports and exports account for close to 17 percent of the total cargo, with the remaining 67.2 percent generated by the transit operations, up from 63.4 percent in Jan-Apr 2023 - but still below the 70 percent that was the average a decade ago.
