May 27, 2024 (newstodate): Four out of the CASS Top-10 airlines operating in Norway each carried over 1,000 tonnes of cargo in April 2024 - but only one of these reported positive growth in volumes, compared to April '23.
Ranking #1, Qatar Airways thus grew its volumes by 30.13 percent, y-o-y, to 4,163 tonnes, while #2, BA Cargo, dropped 55.75 percent to 1,501 tonnes.
#3, Emirates Cargo was down by 27 percent to 1,133 tonnes, and #4 Finnair also dropped 27.57 percent, y-o-y, to 1,033 tonnes in April 2024.
The next six airlines on the list were SAS, up 185.06 percent to 853 tonnes, Korean Air Lines Cargo up 70.77 percent to 847 tonnes, TK Cargo up 168.34 percent to 703 tonnes, Challenge Airlines up 12.41 percent to 633 tonnes, UPS down 48.61 percent to 439 tonnes and finally Thai Airways up 11.35 percent to 405 tonnes.
Together, the "big four" airline ranking #1-#4 thus count for 56.66 percent of Norway's total export air cargo market.
