May 29, 2024 (newstodate): The good news from Greenland Airports is that the planned openings of new airports at Nuuk and Qaqortoq are on schedule.
   Meaning that the new passenger terminal at Nuuk Airport will open for traffic within less than a month, while the new 2,200 m runway allowing for handling of international flight operations will be inaugurated as earlier announced on November 28, 2024.
   Also on the positive side, Greenland Airports confirms that the opening of the new airport at Qaqortoq with a 1,499 m runway will follow by early 2026, with construction works ongoing as planned.
   The not-so-good news is that the commissioning of the new airport at Ilulissat to be equipped with a 2,200m runway is once again rescheduled for Q4/2026 against earlier slated for the end of 2025, citing shortage of manpower, equipment and spares as well as unforeseen project complexities on the part of the construction company in charge of the project.
