May 10, 2024 (newstodate): The Gulf state-owned LCC flydubai has Russia as it second-largest market, after only Saudi Arabia.
In October 2010, flydubai launched flights from Dubai to Russia, with Yekaterinburg and Samara as its first destinations.
Now, the carrier is adding flights on yet another route to Russia: Sochi, to be served with three weekly rotations from June 2024.
This will bring flydubai's route network in Russia to 11 destinations, alongside flights to Volgograd , Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Makhachkala, Mineralnye Vody, Moscow, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg, Samara and Ufa.
In the fleet of flydubai are now 86 aircraft including 29 Boeing 737-800, 54 Boeing 737 MAX 8 and three Boeing 737 MAX 9.
