May 03, 2024 (newstodate): Iceland's Keflavik Airport is optimistic about this year's summer traffic.
According to Isavia, estimates are that 8.5 million passengers will travel through Keflavík Airport this summer, including around 2.4 million foreign tourists visiting the country.
This will see 2024 becoming the third-largest year in Keflavik’s history, and the largest year in terms of foreign tourist arrivals.
So far, Keflavik Airport will be offering connections to 82 destinations, provided by 28 airlines operating direct flights to and from Keflavík.
Measured in number of airlines operating at Keflavik Airport, 2019 remains the record year with 29 airlines.
