May 10, 2024 (newstodate): The Lithuanian charter and ACMI carrier KlasJet has again taken in more aircraft capacity.
One Boeing 737-800 aircraft first operating for Air Berlin from 2002 has joined the fleet as the carrier's 7th of this type and is now being readied for entering the ACMI market later this month.
The carrier's latest ACMI contract was signed in April with the German carrier Marabu Airlines that will take in two Boeing 737-800 aircraft to serve through its summer '24 schedule from Munich Airport.
In February 2024, KlasJet has landed an ACMI customer in Asia, placing one Boeing 737-800 aircraft with US-Bangla, the largest airline in Bangladesh with a fleet now comprising 21 aircraft.
The contract runs for three months with the Boeing 737-800 based at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka to operate flights to destinations across the Middle East and Asia.
Also in February 2024, Air Serbia signed an ACMI contract with KLasJet for one Boeing more Boeing 737-800 aircraft to fill part of the capacity void left after the abrogation of the contract with the Greek carrier Marathon due to the E190 incident at Belgrade earlier this week.
