May 17, 2024 (newstodate): Russia is considering renaming its Superjet 100 - the country's first post-Soviet indigenous aircraft type.
   -Why should a Russian-made aircraft be called by an English abbreviation, asks Sergei Chemezov, head of Rostec - the conglomerate that comprises the United Aircraft Corporation.
   The Superjet 100 took to the air for the first time in 2008 and entered commercial service in 2011, with some 80 percent of the design containing western components.
   -Before the start of the "special military operation", the share of civilian products in revenue was almost 44.5 percent. Due to the fact that our state defense orders increased significantly, its share decreased to 35 percent.
