May 15, 2024 (newstodate): Ryanair has now commissioned its second MRO hangar at Lithuania's Kaunas Airport.
A two-part hangar has been built on a 7,000m2 plot allowing the company to double its MRO service capacity at Kaunas Airport by servicing four aircraft at a time in two hangars.
Ryanair performed its first flight into Lithuania at Kaunas Airport on September 22, 2005, making Kaunas Airport its 40th base from May 2, 2010, and in 2011, supported by EU's structural funds, Ryanair decided to build its first aircraft technical maintenance center at Kaunas Airport.
