May 13, 2024 (newstodate): Based at Tbilisi Airport, the Georgian passenger carrier Georgian Wings has now reopened direct scheduled traffic connecting Tbilisi and Prague.
The carrier is thus operating two weekly rotations on the route with a Boeing 73-300 aircraft.
The route was last served till 2020 by Georgian Airways, operating a weekly service between the two cities until the pandemic.
Wizz Air also operated flights between the two capitals in October 2022 when it was forced to relocate its scheduled flights between Kutaisi and Prague due to runway work at the Georgian airport.
Georgian Wings was established in 2017 by the cargo charter airline Geosky Airlines that operates two Boeing 747-200F aircraft and one Boeing 757-200F on charter contracts between Europe and Asia, primarily China.
