Jun 06, 2024 (newstodate): In June 2004, the Latvian carrier airBaltic, then owned by SAS, started operations at Vilnius, Lithuania, with flights to Berlin, Cologne, Copenhagen, Dublin and Hamburg, adding, from August 15, routes from Vilnius to Helsinki, Oslo, Tallinn, Vienna and Warsaw.
This year, airBaltic is thus celebrating its 20th anniversary in Lithuania, today operating non-stop flights to 19 destinations from Vilnius, allocating two Airbus A220-300 aircraft to the base at Vilnius Airport.
