Jun 26, 2024 (newstodate): Slovakia's largest airline, the passenger and cargo ACMI carrier AirExplore has added further capacity to its freighter fleet.
As the latest move, the carrier has taken delivery of three Boeing 737-800 converted freighters to be positioned at European and Middle Eastern airports, bringing the fleet to 17 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with nine for passenger flights and eight dedicated to cargo operations.
Set up by a group of former Seagle Air and Air Slovakia employees with Martin Stulajter as CEO, AirExplore received its AOC on May 31, 2010, and started operations from June 2010 with one Boeing 737-300 passenger aircraft.
The airline next added cargo services as well from May 2022 with its first Boeing 737-800BCF aircraft.
Since June 2023 a member of Lithuania's Avia Solutions Group, AirExplore remains managed by its founder and co-owner Martin Stulajter.
