Jun 11, 2024 (newstodate): The Slovak passenger and cargo ACMI carrier AirExplore is thriving under new ownership since June 2023 by Lithuania's Avia Solutions Group.
Today, AirExplore operates a fleet comprising 14 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, including nine passenger and five cargo aircraft of which one Boeing 737-800F is operating a scheduled service between Cologne, Billund and Keflavik after replacing the now defunct carrier BBN Bluebird Nordic that was also a member of the ASG.
Now AirExplore has leased four Boeing 737-800 aircraft on a six-months contract ending in October to Poland's largest charter airline Enter Air, with two aircraft to be based in Katowice, one in Wroclaw, and another in Poznan.
Set up by a group of former Seagle Air and Air Slovakia employees with Martin Stulajter as CEO, AirExplore received its AOC on May 31, 2010, and started operations from June 2010 with one Boeing 737-300 aircraft.
