Jun 03, 2024 (newstodate): Based at Reykjavik Airport, the Icelandic carrier Eagle Air has now finally disposed of its single Dornier 328-100 aircraft.
The aircraft was delivered to the carrier in 2018 to increase the carrier's capabilities to operate passengers into smaller airfields with short runways in markets including Iceland, Greenland and Northern Norway.
As a result of a fleet restructuring in January 2023, the aircraft was found to be too large to match the actual market needs and put up for sale through ACC Aviation that has now completed the sale of the aircraft, along with a spare engine, propeller assembly, and a comprehensive spares and tooling package.
In the fleet of the carrier are thus now five turboprop aircraft, including Jetstream 32 and Cessna 207.
