Jun 19, 2024 (newstodate): Measured in passenger volumes handled in May 2024, Copenhagen Airport stands out as the only Nordic capital airport exceeding pre-Covid levels.
In May 2014, Copenhagen Airport thus handled 2,734,403 passengers, which was 3.5 percent above levels in 2019.
With 2,346,726 passengers in May '24, Norway's Oslo Airport performed next-best, albeit still 3.8 percent below pre-covid levels.
Sweden's Stockholm Airport handled 2,118,586 passengers which was seven percent below 2019.
Finally, Finland's Helsinki Airport handled1,403,096 passenger in May 2014, which as only 72.6 percent of levels in 2019.
Compared to passenger volumes in May 2023, Copenhagen Airport increased by 14 percent; Oslo Airport was up 6.7 percent; Stockholm Airport up five percent - and Helsinki Airport also up 3.6 percent.
