Jun 12, 2024 (newstodate): Norway's Harstad-Narvik Airport at Evenes is greeting a new airline adding connectivity to the region.
With the first flights on June 10, 2024, Edelweiss Air, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, touched down at Evenes Airport, opening the route connecting with Zurich, Switzerland, now operated with one weekly rotation using Airbus A320 aircraft.
The route will be operated till the end of August 2024.
Edelweiss Air has however also announced the decision to launch flights between Evenes Airport and Zurich during the coming winter schedule, with flights commencing from Mid-December and running till the end of the winter schedule in March 2025.
Edelweiss Air has contracted Wideroe Ground Handling to provide ground handling services at Evenes Airport.
