Jun 06, 2024 (newstodate): One Ukrainian carrier is doing rather well in 2024: SkyLine Express.
The carrier has thus added one more aircraft to its fleet, a Boeing 737-800, in commercial service since May 2024 on a wet-lease contract with the Turkish charter airline Mavi Gok Airlines.
Earlier this year, the airline also took delivery of a 737-900ER aircraft, transferred from the Mavi Gok Airlines fleet.
Before the Russian war on Ukraine trading under the name Azur Air Ukraine, the carrier was operating charter flights from European, African, Indian and American airports to leisure destinations with a fleet of 11 Boeing aircraft.
In March 2023, the name was changed into Skyline Express.
Azur Air Ukraine was originally set up as a subsidiary of the Russian airline UTAir but acquired in 2015 by the Ukrainian tour operator Anex Tours that is still behind Skyline Express.
