Jun 07, 2024 (newstodate): With great fanfare, Stockholm Airport celebrated the first flight by United Airlines from New York on June 6, 2024.
   The carrier is now online with seasonal services ending September 2, 2024, offering a daily rotation using Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
   Serving United Cargo with cargo sales in the Scandinavian markets as cargo GSA is Skylog Denmark, member of the ECS Group.
   After a four-year hiatus, the carrier returned to Sweden from summer 2023 offering daily rotations on the route connecting Stockholm and New York Newark Airport.
    The route was first opened by Continental Airlines in 2005; United Airlines then merged with this carrier from 2011, continuing the seasonal flights to Stockholm until 2019 - and then the coronavirus struck.
