Jul 30, 2024 (newstodate): The Norwegian regional carrier Wideroe is expanding its fleet of Dash 8-400 aircraft.
Following the launch by De Havilland Aircraft of Canada's new Dash 8-400 Refurbishment program at this year's Farnborough Airshow, Wideroe has placed an order for two refurbished Dash 8-400 aircraft to join its fleet already comprising 46 aircraft of the type.
Earlier this year, Wideroe also bought two similar aircraft from Nordic Aviation Capital's stock.
From the start of this year, Wideroe is owned by Norwegian after the deal, announced early in July 2023, was approved by Norway's Competition Authority.
