Jul 04, 2024 (newstodate): Air Serbia is receiving its second ex-Danish Embraer 195 aircraft at Zagreb Airport today.
Like its first E195, the aircraft was formerly operated by the now-defunct Danish carrier Great Dane Airlines that went bust on October 12, 2021.
The first ex-Great Dane E195 aircraft is already in Belgrade, having been grounded since another E-jet, operated by Marathon Airlines on Air Serbia’s behalf, was involved in an incident upon take-off from Belgrade.
Air Serbia now plans to introduce its second E195 in commercial service from August 1, 2024, while the first aircraft is to be brought back into service on July 15.
Both aircraft will be operating on a dry-lease contract with Nordic Aviation Capital.
