Aug 23, 2024 (newstodate): A strong player in Greenland's logistics since the 80'ies, the Danish forwarding and logistics company Blue Water Shipping has taken fresh steps to further consolidate its position.
   Earlier this summer, BWS purchased a 9,800 m2 industrial plant in Nuuk to enhance its ability to provide reliable solutions throughout Greenland and the North Atlantic.
   -The new facility with cooler/freezer storage will allow us to offer greatly expanded storage capacities to customers that can then store larger volumes of shipments, using the additional space as buffers, says Lars Vajse, BWS Director Greenland.
   -The facility will provide electronic management allowing customers to supervise their stores online.
   -We expect the air cargo volumes in and out of Greenland to grow with the opening of the new Nuuk Airport from November 28, 2024, and the new facility will secure smooth and fast handling and distribution of shipments, says Mr Vajse.
   The new BWS facility is slated for opening from October 1, 2024.
