Aug 20, 2024 (newstodate): The Uzbek cargo carrier Fly Khiva is now fully cleared for commercial operations into the EU markets.
Fly Khiva has thus obtained ACC3/RA3 status, proving its adherence to stringent security standards for non-EU countries shipping cargo and mail by air into the European Union.
Based at Tashkent, the carrier earlier this summer obtained TCO-status from EASA allowing it to operate flights into the EU under the aircraft lessor's AOC.
Fly Khiva is thus formally ready to launch scheduled cargo flights to Riga Airport, in Latvia, that is hoping to see the launch later this year of a scheduled weekly service from Tashkent, bringing in e-trade shipments from China for distribution in the European markets.
However, while now technically feasible, the launch of a scheduled service between Tashkent and Riga may still be undecided.
-We do not know when we will fly to Riga; the customer still cannot collect enough cargo, says Farkhad Mukhutdinov, Fly Khiva Fly Khiva Group’s Commercial Director, in response to newstodate's inquiry.
Fly Khiva has earlier announced its plans to commence operations to Riga, Liege, Warsaw, and Paris from August 2024.
Based at Tashkent, the carrier, part of the FlyKhiva Group, operates one Boeing 767-300F freighter on a lease contract with Icelandair.
