Aug 16, 2024 (newstodate): July 2024 proved an encouraging month for cargo handled at Swedavia's airport.
Stockholm Airport saw its total volumes in July up by 13.8 percent, y-o-y, to 7,439 tonnes driven by a significant rise in imports by 33.2 percent.
Stockholm Airport was not alone, however, in showing promising results in cargo volumes.
Gothenburg Airport was up even more - growing 101.9 percent to a total of 1,743 tonnes also driven by a growth in imports by 124.5 percent, y-o-y.
Malmo Airport exited July 2024 with an increase by 20.8 percent, y-o-y, to 1,265 tonnes with exports rising by 30.8 percent.
Figures for January-July 2024 are less dynamic, while still positive; Stockholm Airport has been handling 52,781 tonnes and growing 2.1 percent; Gothenburg has seen volumes up by 10.4 percent to 9.455 tonnes, while volumes handled at Malmo Airport were up 5.9 percent to 8,986 tonnes.
All volumes are flown cargo; cargo on road feeders are still unaccounted for in the statistics
