Aug 23, 2024 (newstodate): Confirming yesterday's news, the Danish forwarding and logistics group LEMAN finally issued a release about the sudden retreat of its CEO, Bo Lindberg Andersen.
-We can announce that we have mutually agreed with Bo Lindberg Andersen that he is leaving his position as CEO due to personal reasons, the statement reads.
Mr Lindberg Andersen took up the position with LEMAN in October 2021.
The LEMAN Group's annual report for 2023 showed a significant loss, roughly corresponding to the year’s massive investments that saw the opening of new offices in Mexico, Vietnam and Iceland and the takeover of the Swiss forwarding company Nauta SA.
-However, we must also be honest and recognize that we have underperformed especially in the US and in the UK, but we are in the process of correcting that, said Michael Schroeder, LEMAN Group CFO, in a comment to the report.
Mr Schroeder is now serving as Acting CEO till a permanent successor to Mr Lindberg Andersen is appointed.
