Aug 06, 2024 (newstodate): The Romanian carrier Flyyo has named a new COO: Valentinas Jankelaitis.
   Now returning to the aviation industry from August 1, 2024, Lithuanian national Valentinas Jankelaitis will be well-known from serving as Heston Airlines CCO from the very start in October 2020, after serving with the now-defunct carrier Small Planet Airlines as Commercial Director for almost 11 years until November 2018.
   Based at Bucharest Henri Coanda Airport, Flyyo, earlier branded as Aerro Direkt, suspended flight operations in March 2023 as it lost its ACMI contract with Air Moldova, but was back in the air again this summer after a thorough reconstruction and change of ownership.  
   In the fleet are now two Airbus A320 aircraft placed in the charter and ACMI market.
