Aug 12, 2024 (newstodate): As earlier reported, Hong Kong Air Cargo will launch a weekly flight starting from September 4, 2024, between Oslo and Hong Kong via Almaty, in Kazakhstan, with Airbus A330-200F offering the capacity of some 65 tonnes.
   The carrier will be operating the new route flexibly, newstodate is told.
   -We are flexible in adjusting our capacity ex-Oslo to meet market demand, says Ricky Yuen, Hong Kong Air Cargo Supervisor, Corporate Communication.
   -No matter if the routing is HKG-OSL-HKG or “any European Airport-OSL-HKG”, our team is committed to ensuring that we can fulfil the needs of our customers efficiently and effectively.
   The new operator at Oslo Airport will offer direct cargo uplift into the important cargo hub at Hong Kong with access to onward connections to Asian destinations.
   One salient feature of the new route is the operations on Wednesdays, avoiding the Tuesday peak of freighter traffic at Oslo Airport.
   Today, Hong Kong Air Cargo's only other European destinations are Liege, Milan and London.
