Aug 01, 2024 (newstodate): To the benefit of Norway's seafood exporters, Qatar Airways Cargo seems to have settled firmly at Norway's Evenes Airport.
   In June 2024, the airport handled a total of 529 tonnes of cargo - a hefty increase by 1,319 percent, y-o-y, thanks to the opening of Qatar Airways Cargo's flights at the airport commencing with the first Boeing 777F weekly flight on October 31, 2023, from Evenes to Qatar.
   In the first half of 2024, Evenes Airport has handled 3,517 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 1,517 percent and almost exclusively thanks to Qatar's 3,336 tonnes of seafood uplift during the period.
