Aug 12, 2024 (newstodate): After a long period of decline in cargo volumes, Sweden's Stockholm Airport is now reporting a brisk increase in July 2024.
A total of 7,439 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, up 13.8 percent, y-o-y.
The positive growth was driven by a significant rise in imports by 33.2 percent to a total of 3,454 tonnes, while exports performed more moderately, up only 1.1 percent to 3,986 tonnes.
The increase in cargo volumes was generated on almost all carriers, passenger and cargo operators, alike.
