Aug 03, 2024 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines is a steady provider of cargo services at Denmark's Billund Airport.
Manifesting its long-term focus on the airport, the company has now inked a three-years extension of its contract with Billund Airport for cargo handling.
In addition to belly cargo, Turkish Airlines has been operating freighter services between Billund and Istanbul since April 10, 2016, starting out with one weekly Airbus A310-300F freighter, adding a second frequency from early November 2016 with Airbus A330-200F aircraft.
Today, Turkish Cargo operates three weekly freighters at Billund Airport, including one Airbus A330-200F and two Airbus A310 services to Istanbul.
Serving as Turkish Airlines Regional Cargo Sales Manager Denmark since December 2021 is Mehmet Gokce, earlier in the similar position in Sweden for over five years, while cargo sales in the Nordic markets are provided by NordicGSA as GSSA.
