Aug 16, 2024 (newstodate): The Uzbek cargo carrier My Freighter is working hard to expand its global reach through new cooperation agreements.
As the latest achievement, My Freighter has inked an interline agreement with American Airlines, allowing My Freighter to ship cargo on American Airlines' flights on routes from Europe to destinations in the U.S., including New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, Charlotte, and Houston, as well as to a number of European cities on American Airlines' network.
Under the same agreement American Airlines gains access to My Freighter’s flights from Tashkent across Central Asia and to its ground trucking feeder delivery network.
In June 2024 My Freighter also landed an interline agreement with the Spanish carrier Air Europe to extend its reach into North and South American markets.
The agreement aims to spur the integration of logistics systems between Europe and Central Asia, anticipated to result in a significant increase in cargo traffic between the two regions in the coming years.
Among the new destinations now added to My Freighter's capabilities are Panama City, Cancun, the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana, Colombia, Miami, New York, and Sao Paulo.
In return, Air Europa will establish Tashkent Airport as a hub for its Central Asian flights.
First in Uzbekistan to register a Boeing 747-200 on October 23, 2022, My Freighter is now operating three cargo aircraft also including two Boeing 767-300 freighter aircraft, the latest of which was acquired on a lease contract in January 2024, with a fourth Boeing 767-300 soon to be added.
My Freighter was established in 2019 with ambitions to add up to five more similar aircraft and grow the fleet to 20 units within five years.
My Freighter operates flights from Uzbekistan to European airports such as Liège, Ostrava, Budapest, and Leipzig, and has own cargo collection points in the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands, as well as cargo collection points in the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, as well as Brazil and Vietnam.
