Sep 03, 2024 (newstodate): The Romanian carrier Animawings has rescheduled its plans for launch of flights to Sweden, now slated for early 2025.
Earlier, the carrier had set October 1, 2024, for the start of three weekly rotations between Bucharest and Stockholm with Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
Now the program will start with two weekly rotations from April 2, 2025.
Earlier this year, Animawings became a fully Romanian carrier after the acquisition of the formerly Aegean Airlines subsidiary by the Romanian tour operator Christian Tour.
The company that received its AOC in July 2020 plans to take delivery of 12 Airbus A220-300 aircraft over the coming three-years period, with the first two entering the fleet this summer, joining the existing fleet of two Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
