Apr 09, 2025 (newstodate): April 12, 2025, will see the first flight by the Polish carrier LOT to Iceland.
The new route connecting Warsaw and Keflavik will be operated during the summer schedule, with four weekly rotations using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on the four-hour flight.
Adding to traffic by tourists and the large Polish expat community on Iceland - actually the country's largest - LOT also excepts the coming new service to generate traffic to Iceland via Warsaw from not least the carrier's Asian destinations.
Already connecting Iceland and Poland are Wizz Air since May 2016, as well as the Icelandic LCC PLAY since April 2023.
